This class will provide the necessary training and education for you to apply for a CCW. The CCW course will explain the application process and teach the CA laws pertaining to concealed carry and self-defense, lethal force and less than lethal force, gun safety, firearms knowledge, holstering and drawing from concealment, concealment methods, situational awareness/real life scenarios, the development of your shooting and marksmanship skills, as well as “qualifying” with the firearms which you wish to have on your permit. This class does not guarantee a CCW permit.
Items needed: Gun/s, 50 rounds of ammo, Eye and Ear protection. No low cut shirts or open toed shoes will be allowed on the range.

Initial CCW applicants will need to bring their gun/s to qualify at 8:00 am. for Saturday classes. For weeknight classes, new CCW applicants will need to bring their gun/s on Thursday night to qualify.

Utah will honor a permit to carry a concealed firearm issued by another state or county.
Of the states below that have formalized reciprocity or recognition with Utah, there are some states that will only accept the Utah concealed firearm permit so long as the permit holder is a resident of Utah.
It is the responsibility of all Utah or Arizona concealed firearm permit holders to know and understand the applicable firearm laws of the states within which they plan to visit or venture. For information regarding firearm laws of other states, please contact the respective authority within that state.
